Sunday Funday!

With the beautiful sun shining into my bedroom and waking me up, why not start the day off with a traditional breakfast: pancakes!  And just not any ordinary pancakes with syrup, but these are paaaancakes.  You like how I stretched the "pan" part to make it seem supreme?

Well, these pancakes are pretty supreme and with some homemade syrup, you'll be quite satisfied and this will set up the rest of your beautiful day.

INGREDIENTS:
PANCAKES
2 cups original Bisquick mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract

SYRUP
1 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
3/4 cup water
1 tbsp butter
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp maple flavoring or vanilla extract

STEP 1: Mix your dry ingredients (bisquick mix, sugar, baking powder) into a bowl.  Make a well in the middle and pour your wet ingredients (milk, eggs, vanilla extract).  Mix together until smooth.

STEP 2: Heat your pan (or griddle) over medium heat.  Ladle about 1/2 cup of pancake batter onto pan.  Cook until golden brown on each side (about 5-7 minutes depending on your heat).  This should yield about 10 pancakes.

STEP 3: While cooking your pancakes, mix your brown sugar, water, butter and pinch of salt in a saucepan.  Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.  Once boiling, remove from heat and add your maple flavoring.

Serve warm and enjoy!
